The Role This is a substantive post for a service improvement initiative within the Urology Department. The NHSL Urology Service is centrally managed at University Monklands and this post is to focus on the Haematuria and high PSA Pathways. This role requires carrying out flexible cystoscopies. The training course will be provided if there is no prior experience carrying out cystoscopies. The post will require vetting using ACRT and working alongside Service Management Teams, Consultants, Doctors, Nurses and Secretarial staff to define pathways and provide an improved service for patients referred to Urology. Patients referred with Haematuria and manage the Urology Cystoscopy surveillance patients. It will also require assisting the advanced specialist nurses with high PSA pathways. Come and be a part of this success About The Role The Lead Principal, Portfolio Development for BHP Ventures will act as the primary bridge between BHP Ventures and the Minerals America business. This role exists to identify strategic challenges and opportunities where external innovation can deliver value, build strong relationships with senior leaders and delivery teams, and ensure successful integration of venture-backed technologies into operations. As the sole Ventures representative in the region, this position will champion portfolio companies, foster engagement, and drive adoption of innovative solutions that align with BHP’s priorities. Key Accountabilities Establish strong, trust-based connections with senior leaders and decision-makers across operating assets and functional teams within Minerals America.Continuously assess business needs and strategic challenges to identify where technology or external innovation can deliver value.Collaborate with the Ventures investing team to shape strategic rationale for prospective investments and facilitate introductions to technical and business stakeholders.Act as the primary owner and advocate for startups in the portfolio—drive engagement through workshops, roundtables, and stakeholder connections.Develop and deliver a Quarterly Engagement Plan to systematically showcase activities and ensure integration of pilots and trials.Lead or contribute to initiatives that enhance Ventures’ processes, tools, and engagement models.Share learnings from pilots and external trends with Minerals America teams to build internal capability around technology and innovation.Attend regional conferences and ecosystem events as BHP Ventures’ sole representative in Minerals America, fostering external relationships.Capture and organise notes from internal and external interactions in Teams and Affinity to ensure transparency and to share learnings. About You To be successful in this role, you need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field. Proven track record in originating, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, executing, and managing value-accretive transactions and investments.At least 10 years of experience in asset-heavy industries.Proven ability to work autonomously in regional roles and manage multiple priorities.Fluency in Spanish and English.Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.Organisational and planning skills for systematic engagement and project delivery.
