Principales Responsabilidades Planificar, desarrollar, dirigir y participar en la actividad diaria de Ingeniería Ambiental en proyectos complejos de tamaño mediano a grande que requieran un esfuerzo de Ingeniería Ambiental muy importante, o se les pueda asignar la responsabilidad de múltiples proyectos más pequeños dentro de una unidad de negocio global utilizando Procedimientos relevantes del Departamento de Ingeniería (EDP), estándares y guías de diseño y Programas de Aplicación Estándar de Bechtel (BSAP). Supervisar, coordinar y revisar el trabajo del personal de Ingeniería Ambiental asignado, estimar las necesidades y horarios de personal y asignar el trabajo en consecuencia. Educación y Experiencia Requerida Requiere una licenciatura o maestría (o equivalente internacional) relacionada con el puesto y de 13 a 15 años de experiencia relevante o de 17 a 19 años de experiencia laboral relevante. Conocimientos y Habilidades Requeridas Fuerte conocimiento de las regulaciones locales y nacionales que rigen las operaciones mineras y de metales. Job Summary In this role, you will be required to supervise a team of environmental engineering personnel, estimate project staffing needs, and schedule and assign work. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans and review and approve environmental engineering investigations and studies. Your leadership will drive successful implementation of recommendations to improve the environmental impact of engineering projects. "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Major Responsibilities Planning, developing, directing, and participating in the day-to-day Environmental Engineering activity on medium to large sized complex projects that require very major Environmental Engineering effort, or may be assigned responsibility for multiple smaller projects within a global business unit utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs). Supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of Environmental Engineering personnel assigned, estimating staffing needs and schedules and assigning work accordingly. Providing the technical input to meet procurement requirements. Preparing or overseeing the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly. Maintaining contact with other disciplines to ensure the coordination of the work within the project(s) and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements. Reviewing and making recommendations of the Environmental Engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval by project engineering. When directed, coordinating with client representatives to obtain their approval of Environmental Engineering aspects of the work. Reviewing and approving key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned. Ensuring that assigned Environmental Engineering personnel receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development. Education And Experience Requirements Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge And Skills Strong knowledge of local and national regulations governing mining and metals operations. Experience managing complex environmental and permitting projects, including developing and implementing environmental management plan. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
