El objetivo principal del cargo consiste en la construir de líneas de control en diferentes escenarios de combate con la implementación asignada a la brigada (uso de agua, supresores y herramientas manuales o mecánicas y su combinación) para realizar labores de contención y extinción del incendio. Además, de trabajar en labores silvícolas.
