The EU Transportation Operations Management team is seeking Area Managers to oversee operations at our Amazon EU sites.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Site leadership to improve On-time Performance of trucks, Safety, and Customer Experience metrics.
  • Facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders to streamline truck flow in the yard.
  • Report yard performance to local leadership, identify root causes, and drive resolution.
  • Proactively lead process improvement initiatives and implement Lean tools.
  • Work under time constraints to meet critical business needs.

A Day in the Life

The Yard Area Manager manages yard operations in coordination with Dock, Receive, and Ship teams, ensuring FIFO processing. An ideal candidate possesses a background in transportation operations and strong program management skills. They will lead and mentor, analyze data, and recommend actions in an ambiguous environment.

Key responsibilities include standardizing and enhancing processes while eliminating root causes of defects in current systems. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change at local and global levels are essential for this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • Studienabschluss
  • Führungserfahrung
  • Relevante Erfahrung in der Kommunikation mit verschiedenen Stakeholdern
  • Erfahrung in der Verwendung von Daten zur Begründung von Entscheidungen
  • Fortgeschrittene Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse

Preferred Qualifications
