Role Description

This full-time Yacht Detailer role at Reinschiff Yacht Management is based in Mallorca. The Yacht Detailer is responsible for the thorough cleaning, polishing, and preservation of yacht interiors and exteriors, including hulls, decks, cabins, upholstery, metal fittings, and glass surfaces. Daily tasks include washing and waxing surfaces, teak cleaning and treatment, stain and oxidation removal, and applying protective coatings to maintain a high standard of appearance.

The role also involves organizing cleaning materials, following safety procedures, reporting maintenance issues, and collaborating with team members to ensure yachts are prepared to company and client standards. The Yacht Detailer is expected to maintain consistent quality, work efficiently within set timelines, and adapt to changing schedules and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with professional detailing, including cleaning, polishing, waxing, and surface protection for marine or automotive environments.
• Strong understanding of cleaning products, tools, and techniques suitable for yacht materials such as fiberglass, teak, metals, fabrics, and glass.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, and extended periods of standing in an outdoor, marine setting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship, with the ability to follow checklists and client specifications accurately.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices, including proper chemical handling, personal protective equipment, and safe use of machinery.
• Reliable time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team or independently.
• Professional and respectful communication skills to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and clients when required.
• Previous experience in yacht care, marine services, or detailing is preferred; a valid driver’s license and the right to work in Spain are beneficial.
