Job Title: Ward Clerk - Ward 31 We are seeking a Ward Clerk to join our team, providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to clinical and nursing staff within Ward 31.
Your role will be essential in supporting direct patient care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform clerical duties including data entry, managing emails, and ordering stock using Microsoft Office packages and Trackcare. Handle casenote folders, including lifting, handling, and retrieving file notes, and managing case note trolleys. Work collaboratively within a team and independently, prioritising workload effectively. Communicate professionally and calmly with patients, relatives, and staff, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Manage telephone communications efficiently, relaying information accurately and listening effectively. Handle daily workload in a busy ward environment confidently and efficiently. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in clerical or administrative roles; hospital experience is advantageous. Computer literacy, including keyboard skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Trackcare. Ability to lift and handle casenote folders and perform physical tasks such as bending and stretching. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Calm, approachable, and professional demeanor. Additional Information: Due to legislative changes effective from 1 April 2025, this role may require a different level of criminal records check, potentially involving the PVG Scheme.
