Truck Sales Director

What You Will Do

At Volvo Trucks Chile, you will plan, implement, and oversee the commercial plans of the truck sales area, within the policies established by Group Truck Sales and Marketing Americas, with the objective of achieving the sales and market share targets projected for the area.

You Will

  • Analyze participation rates by defined industries and segments to identify where business opportunities exist.
  • Consolidate the annual sales plan, supported by data and segmented by commercialization objectives, to establish sales targets for the entire year.
  • Conduct a quarterly review of monthly compliance indicators, analyzing deviations to define action plans in the event of target shortfalls.
  • Lead team management, identifying training needs and required competencies to provide the development, growth, coaching, and direction that enable the team to perform effectively.
  • Drive initiatives with the work teams to encourage commitment, improve the work climate, and motivate the achievement of objectives.
  • Maintain a strong level of communication with the teams regarding guidelines and results, ensuring monthly goal achievement and developing joint corrective actions to address deviations.
  • Stay informed of the Integrated Management System and ensure compliance with applicable standards for the position (ISO 9001; 14001; 45001, and NCH 3262).

This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with a strong focus on execution and results.

Who You Are

We are looking for a leader who combines strong business acumen with commercial excellence and the ability to drive results across a sales network.

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Around 5 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Solid knowledge of Sales and Commercial Management.
  • Intermediate to advanced English skills.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Automotive or related industry experience is a plus.
