Engineering Firestop Solutions that Make Construction Safer and Smarter.

As a Firestop Technical Engineer II, you will drive the design and delivery of high‑quality fire protection engineering solutions for complex construction projects across the W2 Region. Your expertise ensures compliance with international standards while enabling our customers to build safer, more efficient structures. This role exists to elevate customer experience, strengthen project performance, and support the growth of Hilti’s DD&E portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers across the W2 Region to deliver expert Firestop technical support.
  • Assure quality control and value engineering across all Firestop solution designs.
  • Design, specify, and provide Firestop solutions for both low and complex applications, including CTS, BIM Projects, and Fire Finish.
  • Identify project needs in line with American, European, or local standards (UL, ASTM, INTERTEK, ETA, Warrington, IPT).
  • Perform value engineering studies and lead technical support through design changes, coordination meetings, and reviews.
  • Stay informed on building codes, norms, Technical Data Sheets, and other FS documentation.
  • Support Hilti’s Firestop approvals, manage specifications, and ensure compliance.
  • Provide cost‑optimized CP solutions and help reduce unnecessary lead times.
  • Propose creative, clear, and high-quality Firestop design solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil, mechanical, chemical engineering, architecture, or fire protection engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience related to construction or fire protection.
  • Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, Revit; Navisworks is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Languages: English B2 required; Portuguese desirable.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills, and ability to collaborate across teams.
