Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to support operations and activities of our Quality Control Laboratory for molecular biology-based assays. The role is predominately laboratory based with some amount of routine paperwork, such as report writing and archiving.

Key Duties

• Support QC laboratory organization, supply levels, and QC workflow
• Monitor reagent and sample inventory, expiration dates, and storage conditions
• Support routine QC testing, assessment of results and confirmation with acceptance criteria
• Assist with ordering and receiving laboratory supplies and reagents, collaborating with other departments as applicable
• Prepare, label, and store reagents and solutions according to procedures
• Record keeping according to corresponding SOPs following GDP
  
  

Qualifications

• BSC in Molecular Biology or equivalent in Life Science
• BTA / CTA with experience in Molecular Biology
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Good demand in written and spoken German and English
• Experience with molecular biology-based techniques (as PCR, qPCR, spectrophotometry)
• Good organizational skills with a methodical approach to work
• Experience in safe handling of chemicals and reagents
• Ability to interact effectively with an interdisciplinary group on various levels
• Attention to detail
• Experience in working under ISO 13485 would be of advantage
