About The Team/Role

The Screenings Platform team at Checkr builds and maintains common tooling and features used by all screening teams to focus on domain complexity. By building high-quality platform-first features, they enhance the maintainability and cohesion of Checkr’s screening products.

As a Software Engineer Tech Lead, you'll drive the technical architecture of complex workflows, set the standard for product interactions, and ensure seamless functionality across screening products.

What You’ll Do

• Own development from ideation to release
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and Data teams to deploy impactful features
• Lead technical initiatives to enable growth and address debt
• Mentor engineers and spread development best practices
• Partner with management in planning activities
• Ensure the quality and scalability of our services

What You Bring

• Fluent in English
• Hybrid work availability in Santiago
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Expertise in backend development, proficiency in frontend technologies
• Experience building scalable systems with automated testing
• Strong ownership and collaboration skills
• A mindset focused on action and delivering outcomes

Pay Transparency Disclosure

Compensation varies by location. For this role in Santiago, the salary range is $66,496,000 - $78,230,000 CLP.
