About The Team/Role

The Screenings Platform team at Checkr develops essential tools and features for all screening teams, contributing to improved maintainability and cohesion across its screening products. As a Software Engineer Tech Lead, you will oversee the technical architecture of complex workflows and ensure effective interaction between various screening products.

What You’ll Do

• Own product development from ideation to release
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy impactful features
• Lead technical initiatives to enhance growth and address technical debt
• Mentor engineers and share best practices
• Participate in planning activities with product and engineering management
• Ensure quality, reliability, and scalability of services

What You Bring

• Fluent in English
• Hybrid work availability in Santiago (3 days/week)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years software development experience with 3+ years in project leadership
• Expertise in backend development (e.g., Ruby, Node.js) and frontend technologies
• Experience in building scalable systems with automated testing
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Ownership mindset and resilience in uncertainty

Pay Transparency Disclosure

The pay range for this role in Santiago, Chile is $66.496.000—$78.230.000 CLP. More details on compensation will be discussed during recruiting.
