Systems and Business Reporting Sr Specialist

Santiago or Lima Glencore is one of the world’s leading diversified natural resource companies, producing and marketing copper with mining operations and development projects in key mining regions across Africa, Australia, and the Americas. The Systems and Business Reporting Sr Specialist will play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Latam Integrated Management System (LIMS), as well as leading the development and execution of business reporting frameworks for the Copper South America region. This role is critical to ensuring consistency, transparency, and strategic alignment across high-impact-reporting and management systems, enabling informed decision-making and enhanced operational performance.

The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the region to ensure proper system adoption and to deliver robust and high-impact reports for senior management and regional committees. This position reports directly to the Systems and Reportability Regional Manager .

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Managing the regional Integrated Management System (LIMS):

  • Support the design and deployment of LIMS aligned with Glencore’s global systems and frameworks.
  • Define clear milestones, governance structures, implementation timelines and supporting templates.
  • Develop and maintain the documentation architecture and toolsets for effective LIMS adoption.

Ensuring regional alignment and compliance:

  • Coordinate with functional teams across the region to align processes and fulfill system requirements.
  • Lead baseline assessments, standard reviews and internal audits.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to compliance, performance and continuous improvement.

Driving executive-level business reporting:

  • Compile, structure and present business-critical data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Design and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual business reports for the Regional Executive Committee (REXCO).
  • Ensure consistency and quality in high-impact reporting across multiple functions and stakeholders.

About your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years in the mining industry.
  • Minimum 4 years in similar roles with demonstrated experience in:
    • Integrated management systems (e.g., ISO standards, document control).
    • Project management and KPI-based performance monitoring.
    • Data analysis and visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel).
    • Preparing high-level reports and strategic presentations for senior leadership.
  • Proven experience leading or advising corporate transformation programs, business strategy design, or operating model definition in multinational environments.
  • Solid track record in high-impact consulting projects involving direct interaction with C-level executives, focused on generating strategic insights and driving their implementation. Experience preferably gained in the consulting, mining, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to design executive dashboards and performance reports that support data-driven decision-making at regional and corporate levels.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a track record of developing executive-ready presentations and business reports.
  • Capacity to manage cross-functional initiatives and collaborate across business units and countries.
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple, persuasive messages for internal stakeholders.

Desirable qualifications and knowledge:

  • Experience developing and aligning corporate messaging with internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter) and internal engagement strategies.
  • Experience in managing high-impact reporting and communications across Latin America or multi-country regions.
  • Project Management or Quality Systems Certifications (e.g., PMP, ISO 9001/14001) are a plus.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken) is required.
