Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and talented Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role involves integrating a recently acquired background check product into the Checkr ecosystem and developing it into a solid foundation for a comprehensive identity verification solution.

Responsibilities

• Own the product development from ideation, design, implementation, to release.
• Collaborate on designing and architecting new systems.
• Develop, maintain and improve software.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Deliver performant, reliable, and secure code.

Qualifications

• Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).
• 10+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, with significant experience in Python.
• Leadership skills and a passion for mentoring junior engineers.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and experience with AWS.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• A proactive mindset and ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
