Job Description:

The Cardiac Sonographer performs various echocardiographic procedures and maintains courteous interactions with patients and medical personnel.

Essential Functions:

• Performs transthoracic and stress echocardiograms.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Conducts patient assessments and quality control.
• Educates patients and healthcare staff.

Education Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Allied Health or equivalent from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program (required).

Experience:

• 1 year of echocardiography experience or equivalent (required).

Licensure:

• Cardiac Sonographer registry required within six months of employment (ARDMS or CCI).

Certification:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (required).
