Position Overview

To own the lifecycle of software products that support the strategic and operational goals of the Technology Department and administrative units. To define product vision, gather and prioritize requirements, and guide cross-functional teams toward delivering impactful, user-centered solutions. The goal of this role is to ensure that software products provide long-term value, foster innovation, and align with institutional needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Systems Analyst or related fields.
  • 1-2 years of experience in similar positions.

  • Leadership in projects and team coordination.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and translating user needs into actionable requirements.
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

  • High organizational skills and time management.
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to institutional needs.
  • High proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in ERP systems configuration (SAP B1), Web development project management using agile methodologies, Relational databases design, maintenance, and querying (e.g., SQL), Enterprise software platforms, and system interoperability best practices.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the product vision for internal software solutions.
  • Lead the design and delivery of new software solutions for internal departments.
  • Prioritize product features and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to inform technology choices and product evolution.
  • Improve and optimize existing applications to enhance performance and usability.
  • Ensure proper documentation of product requirements, workflows, and release notes.
  • Offer support and resolution for incidents related to implemented applications.
  • Ensure alignment with security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to support software-related projects.
  • Propose, elaborate, and implement upgrades in the administrative systems.
  • Integrate administrative systems to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.
  • Identify failures and propose solutions for processes and administrative systems.
  • Support and instruct users in the effective use of implemented applications.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of information managed through software platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and Innovation teams to define the school’s core technology strategy (SIS, LMS, ERP, MDM, etc.).
  • Participate in the definition and execution of technology budgets (CAPEX/OPEX).
  • Promote and support compliance with data protection standards (e.g., GDPR).
  • Manage SAP B1 user permissions and accounts, system licenses, support tickets, and the relationship with the service provider.
  • Identify and raise risks related to obsolescence or major system changes; act as the first line of detection for future software issues.
  • Define and maintain product roadmaps, especially for mission-critical systems, to prevent scheduling conflicts such as simultaneous major upgrades.
  • Support the execution of software decommissioning plans, when systems must be retired or replaced.
