About the Role

The Application Security team collaborates with engineers to identify and prevent vulnerabilities in software, ensuring high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security-focused reviews and assessments, exploring impact through controlled exploitation.
• Establish secure development practices to support rapid, reliable feature delivery.
• Enhance GitLab's security by using platform features and providing valuable feedback.
• Secure our software supply chain and improve workflows.
• Drive team maturity to streamline processes and metrics as we expand.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
• 5+ years in a tech field, with strong coding and security knowledge.
• Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Ruby on Rails or Go.
• Experience with application security practices and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges from $145,000 to $200,000 USD, exclusive of bonuses and benefits.
