Position Overview

As a Senior Scala (Apache Spark) Developer, you will lead complex Spark implementations, mentor team members, and drive the design and optimization of data-intensive applications.

Your Responsibilities

- Actively contribute to Apache Spark and related open-source projects.
- Develop distributed data applications using Scala and Spark APIs.
- Implement advanced Dataset transformations with Scala’s functional features.
- Tune performance and optimize memory in Spark applications.
- Mentor junior developers and ensure best practices in Scala/Spark code.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Scala, functional programming, and JVM optimization.
- Deep understanding of Spark internals, Catalyst optimizer, and Tungsten engine.
- Experience building large-scale, fault-tolerant Spark pipelines.
- Proven track record of contributions to Spark or other Apache projects.
- Advanced English proficiency.
