Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Scala (Apache Spark) Developer to lead complex Spark implementations and mentor team members. You'll design and optimize data-intensive applications, implement advanced transformations, and contribute to Spark’s evolution.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute actively to Apache Spark and related open source projects as a core contributor.
• Lead development of distributed data applications using Scala and Spark APIs.
• Implement advanced Dataset and typed transformations with Scala’s functional features.
• Drive performance tuning and memory optimization in Spark applications.
• Mentor junior developers and review Scala/Spark code for best practices.

What We Are Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in Scala, functional programming, and JVM optimization.
• Deep understanding of Spark internals, Catalyst optimizer, and Tungsten execution engine.
• Experience in building large-scale, fault-tolerant Spark pipelines.
• Proven track record of contributions to Spark or other Apache projects.
• Advanced level of English.
