We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer to improve legacy products and facilitate their transition to a modern platform.

Take a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing PHP-based solutions while transitioning products to a new framework. Collaborate closely with teams such as Solution Architects and Product Owners to implement innovative and impactful solutions. Responsibilities

• Analyze the client's legacy product in PHP and identify areas for improvement
• Improve system performance, address stability challenges, and recommend architectural advancements
• Collaborate on the development of new product features and coordinate with Solution Architects and Product Owners
• Support client onboarding initiatives and tailor solutions to meet specific client needs
• Work alongside another EPAM team focused on the Next Gen Claims Pay product in .NET and contribute to planning
• Coordinate efforts with a vendor and teams based in India
• Interact with U.S. clients to effectively represent EPAM's expertise and offerings
• Contribute to the migration from Amazon Web Services to Microsoft Azure
• Evaluate current architecture and offer strategic improvements
  
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development, including exposure to OPCache/APC and PHP linters
• Knowledge of MySQL with a focus on transactions and logging
• Skills in profiling and refactoring workflows using tools like xDebug and xhprof
• Proficiency in Agile principles and Scrum practices
• Competency in using Docker at an intermediate level
• Strong English communication abilities for client interaction
• Background in working with U.S.-based clients in consultative roles
