Purpose

As the Sr. Manager, Retail Investments Distribution, you are responsible for leading the Investment Specialists/Sr. Investment Specialists team assign across retail segments, ensuring strategic execution of the investment advisory model, growth of client primacy, and acceleration of sales through scalable and goal-based solutions. Your leadership will directly influence how the Bank delivers investment advice, support front-lines partners, and executes regional initiatives to increase investments penetration and asset growth. You will coach, guide and develop a high-performing team while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders in Wealth and Retail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and Develop a High-Performing Advisory Team

• Manage Investment Specialists to ensure alignment with business priorities and effectiveness.
• Provide coaching to enhance advisory capabilities, commercial impact, and client experience.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and partner closely with frontline leaders.
• Manage workload distribution, recruitment, performance, and individual development plans.

2. Drive Execution of the Advisory Strategy

• Ensure advisory activities deliver personalized and scalable investment advice.
• Oversee campaigns and initiatives to grow investment penetration and client engagement.
• Monitor key performance metrics and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Identify gaps in advisory effectiveness and implement solutions to support the frontline.

3. Strengthen Commercial Impact and Stakeholder Partnerships

• Collaborate with senior retail and wealth leaders to drive adoption of investment advisory.
• Analyze market conditions and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities.
• Represent the Investments Distribution team in key internal forums and escalate issues with solutions.

4. Ensure Operational Excellence, Compliance, and Governance

• Oversee implementation of bank policies, sales practices, and operational standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, ongoing product knowledge, and training across the team.
• Lead business planning, forecasting, risk management, and reporting for the investment distribution area.

Requirements:

Education & Accreditations

• Post-secondary education in Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field (required).
• Valid investment advisory certification according to country or regulatory standards (mandatory).
• A Master’s degree or CFA designation is considered an asset.

Experience & Skills

• 9+ years of experience in investment advisory, sales leadership, or distribution roles.
• Experience supporting or mentoring teams, enabling frontline performance, or leading through influence (formal leadership experience is an asset, not a requirement).
• Strong track record in delivering investment growth, client engagement, or advisory excellence.
• Comfortable working within cross-functional environments.
