What are we looking for?

We are looking for a SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL (MATERNITY LEAVE REPLACEMENT) based in Santiago who provides independent legal support as an external contractor to Atlas Renewable Energy and its affiliates in Chile, Uruguay, and Perú, during a fixed term of 9 months, starting on June 1st, 2025.

The selected candidate will sign a services agreement with Atlas for the term.

What challenges will you face?

• Provide legal advice to Atlas in Chile, Uruguay, and Perú regarding renewable energy assets from a corporate, commercial, and financing perspective. In particular:
• Management of transactions, including the acquisition of companies and renewable energy assets.
• Handling corporate books and preparing and coordinating board and shareholder meetings.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal governance and approvals.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with financing agreements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, including services agreements, purchase agreements, intercompany loans, supply agreements, etc., and providing strategic assistance for negotiating financing agreements.
• Liaise with external legal counsels.
• Liaise with other Atlas areas (Commercial, Structured Finance, Development, etc.) in their day-to-day legal requests.
• Other legal or in-house tasks from time to time, as requested by the Head of Legal or the Senior Legal Counsel.

What specific knowledge do you need?

• Law degree
• Between 8-10 years practicing law, ideally with significant experience in energy companies or law firms in Chile in corporate and financing matters.
• English fluent
• Word and PowerPoint Advanced
