We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee Worley’s operations in Chile. Under your strategic guidance you will help shape the future of Worley, collaborate with some of the best individuals in the energy, chemicals, and resource industry, and support us on our journey to deliver a more sustainable world.

The Location Director, Chile at Worley is a key leadership position responsible for planning and directing the activities, policies, objectives, and initiatives for the operations in this country. This role plays a vital part in guiding the strategic development, business planning and goal setting for the country, aligning with Worley's commitment to delivering a more sustainable world.

This role will report directly into the SVP of Global Operations for Latin America and the Caribbean, and will collaborate closely with our Major Projects and Portfolios, Delivery and Commercial teams to lead innovative initiatives and create impactful outcomes.

The Location Director, Chile oversees overall operational and safety performance within their area of responsibility, interfaces with customers, leads staff, and ensures that the country's financial performance contributes to Worley's goals to be a global leader in sustainability solutions. You will achieve this by coordinating with some of the industry’s leading senior experts (internal and external) to ensure successful outcomes and world-class delivery of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Have accountability for safety, people, financial, operational and strategic performance of Worley’s operations in Chile.
  • Forge and nurture strong client relationships, leading the charge in securing new growth opportunities.
  • Connect local operations with regional and global operations, aligning with Worley's purpose, strategy and overarching business goals.
  • Provide organizational leadership with country level authority, emphasizing Worley's role as a prominent project delivery partner in the energy, chemicals, and resources industry.
  • Drive project success and financial performance, including gross margin, chargeability, DSO, and revenue forecasts.
  • Adopt a participative management style with a cooperative team approach, fostering collaboration in line with Worley's purpose, values and behaviors. Comfortable working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide strong commercial acumen and experience in all commercial contracting models/risk profiles and project scopes/phases (FEL/EPC/EPCM).
  • Assimilate information from multiple sources to derive answers and solve complex questions, demonstrating a commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions that balance risk and return.
  • Translate regional goals into country-level operational goals, overseeing integration across the organization in a manner consistent with Worley's purpose, values and behaviors.
  • Actively participate in team selection/appointment of key resources and drive diversity and talent development. Mentor and develop senior and high potential team members across the country, developing a strong succession pipeline of talent.

Requirements:

  • +12 years’ leadership of relevant experience with significant broad management experience or equivalent relevant experience.
  • The ability to “think and act global to deliver local”, fostering collaboration, and maintaining focus on strategic objectives during periods of significant change.
  • Be comfortable presenting at all levels within an organization from workforce on-site to executive level. This is a full bilingual role (English/Spanish).
  • Profit and Loss ownership experience for a Country, Business Unit or Portfolio, with consistent experience working and thriving in matrix org structures.
  • Proven ability to deliver strong safety and commercial outcomes across a portfolio of projects.
  • A network of high-level key client contacts and credibility/ability to enhance customer relationships, underscoring Worley's position as a prominent partner in energy, chemicals, and resources.
  • Experience of successfully engaging with client executives, senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  • Experience in project delivery or alliance program environments from engineering through to construction and commissioning.
  • Motivational, collaborative, and visible presence in leadership style with good communication skills and the ability to develop a high-performance culture, embodying Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change and mitigating risks effectively through positive decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to share information with employees in a clear, transparent and visionary manner which will enhance a safe working environment and bring enthusiasm and agility in the organization.
