The Work You'll Do

At Sovos, you will manage and scale the database infrastructure that powers tax compliance for more than 100,000 customers across 100+ countries. As a Senior Database Administrator, you'll be a hands-on technical leader responsible for the performance, security, and availability of our enterprise database environments.

More Specifically, You Will

• Serve as a subject matter expert for critical database technologies.
• Proactively monitor database performance and implement tuning solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Lead implementation of patches and migrations.
• Mentor and support junior DBAs.
• Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Communicate database health to stakeholders clearly.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to streamline operations.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of Database Administration experience.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Solid experience with Oracle and SQL Server environments.
