Role Overview:

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Lumenalta, you will design and implement robust backend systems, ensuring our applications are secure, scalable, and efficient. You will work closely with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver high-performance applications leveraging AWS cloud services and Kubernetes. Your role will involve managing infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK and monitoring systems with tools like Grafana and Loki. Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Build, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python and integrate with AWS cloud services.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and deploy AWS infrastructure, utilizing services like EC2, Lambda, RDS, and S3, focused on scalability and security.
  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring proper scaling and load balancing.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure management with Terraform or AWS CDK for efficient cloud resource provisioning.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement solutions using Grafana and Loki to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, frontend, and product teams for cohesive, scalable, and secure applications.
  • Automation & Optimization: Automate workflows and enhance application performance for low-latency and high-availability systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in backend development with a focus on cloud-native applications.
  • Proficient in Python for backend services.
  • Extensive AWS experience with core services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and Loki.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps) are advantageous.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
