Senior SAP SD Consultant - Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Location: Santiago, Chile / Remote
Contract Type: Permanent / Project-based (specify as needed)

We are seeking a highly experienced and specialized Senior SAP SD Consultant with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) processes. This role will involve working with a leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) client, focusing on optimizing their sales and distribution operations within the DSD model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead DSD Solution Design & Implementation:
- Serve as the primary functional expert for SAP SD in DSD scenarios, leading blueprinting, design, configuration, and implementation activities.
- Translate complex business requirements from the CPG client into robust and scalable SAP SD solutions, specifically tailored for DSD operations.
- Drive the integration of DSD processes with other relevant SAP modules (MM, FI, CO, LE) and external systems.
- Deep Functional Expertise in SAP SD DSD:
- Possess a profound understanding of standard SAP DSD functionalities, including visit planning, route accounting, truck stock management, presales, van sales, driver reconciliation, returns processing, and settlement.
- Configure and optimize pricing procedures, sales document types, delivery processing, billing, and customer master data within a DSD context.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to DSD processes, ensuring seamless operations for the client.
- Process Optimization & Best Practices:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the client's existing DSD operations, leveraging SAP best practices.
- Advise the client on strategic improvements, system enhancements, and new functionalities to improve their DSD effectiveness and profitability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, for DSD functionalities.
- Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with business users, IT teams, and senior stakeholders at the client site.
- Facilitate workshops, conduct training sessions, and create detailed functional and technical documentation for DSD solutions.
- Guide and mentor junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on, end-to-end implementation experience as an SAP SD Consultant.
- Demonstrable, in-depth functional expertise in SAP DSD (Direct Store Delivery) processes and functionalities. This includes a strong understanding of relevant transactions, configurations, and data models specific to DSD.
- Proven experience working with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies, understanding their unique sales and distribution challenges.
- Strong command of core SAP SD areas: Sales Order Processing, Pricing, Deliveries, Billing, Outputs, and Master Data (Customer, Material, Condition Records).
- Experience with integration points between SD and other SAP modules (MM, FI, CO, LE, PP).
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements, design effective solutions, and articulate them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish proficiency is a strong plus given the client's location.
- SAP Certifications in SD or relevant areas.
- Experience with SAP R3 (especially in areas related to Order to Cash and DSD in the new architecture). S/4HANA is a plus
- Knowledge of mobile solutions integrated with SAP DSD.
- Experience with SAP CRM or C/4HANA for customer interaction management.
