Job Description Summary

The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) is responsible for delivering nursing care to patients of varying age groups by utilizing the nursing process and practice standards. Key competencies include:

Job Responsibilities

Under supervision, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting continuous assessments of patient health from admission to discharge.
• Administering medications and adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Collaborating with patients to create individualized care plans based on assessment data.
• Implementing nursing care interventions while ensuring patient safety.
• Serving as a patient advocate, respecting their rights and preferences.

• Orienting new healthcare team members as needed.

About the Unit

5 South is a 16-bed surgical oncology unit that provides care for complex pre and post-operative patients, featuring all private rooms.
