Your Future Role on Our Team
BBA is looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Piping Designer to be part of the discipline in the development of engineering projects for the mining, energy, and manufacturing industries. Its main tasks include the design and 2D and 3D modeling of the engineering solutions defined by the project team, coordinating the designs with the rest of the disciplines. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of services and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external clients.

- Serve as a key team member of the discipline for small to major brownfield and greenfield mining projects.
- Generate the designs of the discipline according to the solutions projected with the team.
- Generate 3D models and the generation of 2D drawings of the developed designs.
- Design and generate layouts of plants and piping systems.
- Coordinate the design with other disciplines of the projects.
- Integrate 2D and 3D models with the designs of other disciplines.
- Produce and supervise the generation of 2D plans (dimensions, designs, texts, and notes).
- In collaboration with engineering teams, generate innovative solutions to any challenges.
- Perform simple calculations, if necessary.
- Ensure BBA work procedures are followed.
- Work collaboratively with the BBA design team in Canada.

Overview of Certifications and Job Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in project development.
- Experience in engineering projects (mining, petrochemical, energy).
- Advanced knowledge of design software: Cadworx, SmartPlant 3D, AutoCad, AutoCad Plant 3D, Navisworks Manage, among others.
- Knowledge of “Piping Spec” management for design software and general configurations is desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical design.
- Knowledge of piping system design (including P&ID and isometric generation).
- Knowledge of BIM methodology.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of design standards DIN, ANSI, ASME, API, AWWA, NFPA, ISA, among others.
- Availability for occasional field visits.
- English language proficiency (intermediate).
