The purpose of the Project Finance Associate is to lead financial planning and analysis for specific projects in collaboration with the CFO and Chief Investment Officer for Latin America. This position involves identifying sources of financing, negotiating terms with banks and investment funds, and effectively managing relationships with investors. ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the Latam CFO and the Global Head of Project Finance, define the financing requirements for projects in Latin America, including VAT considerations.Identify and assess various sources of financing for projects in Latin America, such as credit lines, Senior Project Financing, USPP, Mezzanine financings, among others, as needed.Negotiate financing terms and conditions with investors, working closely with the CFO and Head of Global PF.Effectively manage relationships with external stakeholders (IE), such as consultants, independent engineers, insurance companies, local and international lawyers, coordinating the receipt of information and reports from different departments and ensuring timely delivery to the IE.Create financial models for debt capacity, valuation, and cash flows.Check the bankability of investment projects, supporting development and commercial teams.Work with Middle Office and Investments teams in preparing Memos for investment committees and preparing RFPs to solicit banks and investors.Job RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or related field.8 years of professional experience in general.At least 5 years of experience in Project Finance in the Energy or Infrastructure/Concessions sector.Experience in closing financings with banks.Experience in the Peruvian and Colombian electricity sectors will be a plus.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Advanced Spanish and English proficiency.What we offerHealth insurance.Other benefits.Zelestra celebrates the diversity of thought and experience that comes from a variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to, gender, age and ethnicity.
