Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive bilingual People Graduate to join our dynamic Canadian People team. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the team to drive employee engagement, provide HR support, and manage various people-related processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Offboarding:

  • Serve as the point of contact for new hires during onboarding, ensuring all necessary steps are completed.
  • Manage the offboarding process, ensuring the return of company property and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure the completion of the Employment Equity questionnaire.

Engagement:

  • Conduct stay, engagement, and exit interviews to assess employee morale, organizational culture, and retention factors.
  • Organize wellness webinars and activities to promote employee well-being.

Leaves Management:

  • Support the management of maternity/paternity/parental leaves and short- and long-term disability cases, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Monitor and manage vacation entitlements and work with leaders to address leave balance concerns.
  • Track and analyze trends in sick leave usage, collaborating with leaders to address potential issues.
  • Assist People Business Partners (PBPs) with complex leave cases and follow up with employees on sick leave absences.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Assist with audits and produce ad-hoc reports by ensuring data accuracy and integrity in all HR-related reports.
  • Provide analysis, insights and recommendations based on HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, engagement surveys, exit interviews, leave balances) to support decision-making.
  • Oversee probation periods for new employees, ensuring performance reviews are conducted and feedback provided.

Talent Management:

  • Support talent review processes by preparing data for People Business Partners (PBPs) to use in calibration discussions.
  • Track employee goals, provide ongoing support, and ensure timely progress toward developmental objectives.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals by providing HR-related data and insights for talent management initiatives.

Administration:

  • Act as the point of contact for the PeopleEx inbox, responding to HR-related queries and requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date HR documentation and employee records, including contracts, performance reviews, and benefits.
  • Coordinate and manage employee recognition programs (e.g., baby baskets, flowers for bereavement, etc.), ensuring timely delivery and execution.
  • Manage legislative training requirements

Key Requirements:

  • 0-2 years office experience
  • Certificate or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or French Language
  • Bilingual (English/French – advanced level C) – oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position –
  • Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 7.30 PM CL time, 1-hour lunch
  • Friday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM CL time, 1-hour lunch
  • Flexible / Hybrid work model may be available
