Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Penetration Tester at Digital Defence located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Penetration Tester will be responsible for conducting network and application security testing, red teaming and purple teaming exercises, DFIR, and overall cybersecurity assessments, with the flexibility to work partially (mostly) from home or other locations.

Qualifications

• CRITICAL: Practical experience in testing web-based applications, including websites (Think Burp!)
• CRITICAL: Practical experience in testing APIs
• CRITICAL: Practical experience testing mobile applications

• Experience with social engineering, wired network, wireless, Active Directory, etc
• Experience in Cybersecurity assessments (enterprise-level)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking protocols
• Professional certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or CISSP are a plus; however, we will provide training as appropriate
• Academic background in computer science or information security is appreciated, but not essential - more concerned with your knowledge (and happiness) with "breaking stuff" in clever and imaginative ways!
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
