About the Role

A vacancy has arisen in the Special Care Baby Unit at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy for a Neonatal Health Care Support Worker (Band 2). We are a Level 2 Neonatal Unit with a comprehensive setup including 4 ITU, 2 High Dependency, and 11 Special Care cots.

Team Environment

Currently, we have 6 qualified Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and 1 in training. We are seeking an individual who can seamlessly integrate into our team while also having the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

You will deliver a high standard of care utilizing a holistic approach centered around family. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Working Hours

This position involves 12-hour shifts, with day duty from 07:00 to 19:30 and night duty from 19:00 to 07:30.

Important Notices

This is a non-patient contact role due to the sensitive nature of our patient group. To apply, you must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment. Please be aware that salary is pro-rata for this part-time position.
