Job Description:

The Manager, Technical Solution will lead HyperStrong’s pre-sale engineering efforts in the Americas, delivering competitive, compliant, and cost-effective technical solutions from early-stage customer engagement to NTP. This role is also responsible for building and coaching a regional solution engineering team and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in a core technical domain (e.g., interconnection, compliance, product configuration).

In addition to technical execution, the manager will translate customer and market feedback into actionable insights to guide product improvement, certification planning, and next-generation solution development. This role reports to the Director/Vice President, Technical Solution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead technical solution development for ESS projects, including architecture definition, system optimization, and regulatory compliance review.
2. Manage and grow a team of technical solution engineers; define team structure, roles, and onboarding plans.
3. Coach junior engineers, review key deliverables, and ensure delivery quality.
4. Act as SME in a specific technical domain (e.g., fire protection, controls, interconnection).
5. Collaborate with sales, product, and project teams to ensure solution alignment and transition into execution.
6. Collect and analyze customer, market, and competitor feedback; translate into technical requirements or product features.
7. Guide technical risk assessment, third-party review, and standardization efforts.
8. Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and customer meetings as a technical expert.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy or ESS system integration.
• 5+ years in a technical role with increasing responsibility; prior leadership experience required.
• Demonstrated experience building or mentoring a technical team.
• In-depth knowledge of ESS architecture, compliance codes (UL, NEC, NFPA), and project delivery practices.
• Proficient in system design tools and technical documentation.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s or PMP preferred).
• Bilingual (English required; Mandarin and/or Spanish preferred).

Travel & Work Conditions:

• 25-50% travel (customer meetings, site support, industry events).
• Full-time, remote.
