Join us to be part of a high performing team where your ideas can shape the future of mining.The Role:Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, the Manager, Operational Excellence and Analytics is responsible for working closely with each of Lundin Mining's mine sites to implement initiatives focused on increasing site productivity. The role requires a combination of leadership capabilities, business acumen, operational excellence expertise, and strong data analysis skills.The role will require frequent travel to sites (approximately 25% of the time).Key Responsibilities:Corporate Operating Model: Maintain frameworks and tools to support the Corporate Operating Model, coordinate and monitor commitments across various departments, and consistently report business performance of strategic KPIs to Executives and Board.Operational Competitiveness: Influence and engage decision makers at sites to achieve sustainable productivity efforts; (i) Track and monitor benefits from improvement portfolios and ensure these benefits are highlighted in business plans, (ii). (ii) guide plan's risk reviews through risk assessment of plan's inputs and outcomes, (iii) guide business reviews and benchmarks on operational and capital cost.Innovation Streamline: Assess productivity improvement potential of Strategic initiatives' roadmap (OT, Decarbonization, Automation, etc. ), support their business cases and enable productive deployment.Business Intelligence and Analytics: guide sites in conducting data analysis and business intelligence from external and internal sources to provide value-driven insights to (i) optimize mine site productivity, (ii) challenge site's business plans. (iii) facilitate data-driven decision making.Data Management: Liaise with Operations and Technology departments to guide sites in (i) implementing standards for Data Governance; (ii) manage data from existing OT/IT infrastructure (iii) setting standards for digital products.Organizational Capabilities: Promote knowledge and practice sharing across sites on improvement initiatives. Set methods for Community of Practices deployment and Org knowledge management. Liaise with: MDs, Corporate VPs , and Regional Office.What You Bring:At least 10 years of significant experience in the mining industry or other heavy industry.Demonstrable experience in leading continuous improvement, operational excellence, or analytics programs.Fluency in English and Spanish is required.Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, science, or any related field.Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with stakeholders and employees at different levels of the organization.Solution oriented with the ability to collaborate with others to deliver results.Experience and/or certification in improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, theory of constraint, value stream mapping, or Kaizen.Experience in deploying operating models to set processes, strategic KPIs, and roles.Practical knowledge of business management disciplines such as reporting, accounting, valuation, contract management, supply chain, and project management.Robust expertise in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and A-B testing.Ability to build insightful narratives from data analysis to highlight business opportunities, guide continuous improvement, and build recommendations to increase productivity.Why Join Lundin Mining?A Global Network of Opportunities: Through our operations located in multiple countries, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the world.Competitive Pay & Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, including a Cash Bonus Incentive and a comprehensive benefits plan.Investing in Your Growth: We support your professional development and offer reimbursement for courses and training programs to help you advance in your career.Lundin Mining is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
