The Challenges Ahead

The Manager Engineering leads the development and delivery of engineering strategies, ensuring safe, efficient construction and operations. This role integrates scope, cost, schedule, value, and risk across the project lifecycle and reports to the Director of Engineering and Quality.

Main Responsibilities

• Aimed at a strong safety focus.
• Provide engineering expertise to support project delivery.
• Manage engineering resources and act as the contact for project engineering deliverables.
• Lead performance management of project engineering by third parties.
• Ensure project engineering meets integrated scope, cost, and schedule.
• Drive adherence to technical and operational standards.
• Lead governance and assurance activities for compliance with requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with construction and operations teams for effective project handover.
• Incorporate lessons learned and promote continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Develop high-performing engineering teams through coaching and feedback.

Requirements

We expect candidates to hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in mining capital projects, including significant experience in Tailings Storage Facilities design. Candidates should have strong project management skills and proficiency in relevant software.

Work Location

This role is based in Santiago, Chile, working Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to mine sites.
