We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining our properties to ensure a quality living environment for residents. Responsibilities include handling general maintenance tasks such as work orders, unit turnovers, and maintaining the property’s overall curb appeal, amenities, and common areas. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision in alignment with company policies and guidance from the Maintenance Supervisor, Community Manager, or CM&S.
- Assist with administrative maintenance functions, such as tracking inventory, entering work orders, and maintaining updated records (e.g., Mold and Mildew Log, Pool Log).
- Uphold the highest level of customer service for prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments.
- Ensure compliance with company standards outlined in the Human Resources Policy Manual, Operations Playbook, and applicable laws (e.g., Fair Housing, Landlord-Tenant laws, Local Building Codes, OSHA, EEOC).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or trade school preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, CPO) are strongly preferred.
- 1-2+ years of experience in the maintenance or related field.
- Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with environmental and industrial hazards (e.g., asbestos, lead, mold, radon) as they relate to residential housing.
- Availability for on-call shifts when assigned and ability to respond promptly to work order requests during assigned hours, excluding designated breaks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- General familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with property management software is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $21.15 - $30.29 per hour. New hires generally start between $21.15 - $25.96 per hour. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
