About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, but implementing production systems using them.

Your Responsibilities

Work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to transform a documented roadmap of automation workflows into functional systems.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that minimize manual effort across design and development processes.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of production software development using Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Proven experience in API integrations with OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and basic cloud deployment.
• Proficient English for async communication with a US-based team.
