Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics & Export Coordinator located in Curicó, Chile.

The Logistics & Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics and export activities related to cherry shipments destined for international markets, particularly China. The role involves coordinating with exporters, packing houses, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, cold storage facilities, and Goodfarmer's commercial teams in Chile and China.

The position requires close monitoring of export documentation, shipping schedules, cold chain logistics, container movements, and shipment performance to ensure timely and efficient delivery while maintaining product quality throughout the supply chain.


Key Responsabilities

  • Coordinate cherry export logistics from packing facilities to final destination.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and accuracy of all export documentation.
  • Coordinate bookings, container allocations, shipping schedules, and vessel departures.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to teams in Chile and China.
  • Track container movements and resolve logistics issues proactively.
  • Coordinate cold chain operations to ensure product quality during transportation.
  • Verify compliance with export regulations, phytosanitary requirements, and destination market requirements.
  • Prepare and review export documentation, including:
  • Commercial Invoices
  • Packing Lists
  • Bills of Lading
  • Phytosanitary Certificates
  • Certificates of Origin
  • Shipping Instructions
  • Insurance Documents
  • Maintain logistics records and shipment tracking reports.
  • Analyze logistics performance and identify opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Support claims management related to logistics delays, damages, or quality issues during transportation.
  • Work closely with Quality, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of export programs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agronomy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in export logistics, preferably in the fresh fruit industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, customs procedures, and export documentation.
  • Experience coordinating exports to Asian markets, particularly China, is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of cold chain logistics and perishable product transportation.
  • Experience working with exporters, packing houses, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously during peak season.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics reporting tools.
  • Availability to travel within the Maule Region as required.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken) – mandatory.


Preferred Profile

  • Experience in cherry export operations or other fresh fruit export industries.
  • Strong knowledge of the Chinese market and export requirements.
  • Experience managing logistics during peak export seasons.
  • Detail-oriented professional with excellent follow-up and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipping deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multicultural teams across Chile and China.
