Job Overview

The University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for a Locum Consultant Physician in Acute & General Medicine for a fixed-term duration of 12 months. This role provides an exciting opportunity to participate in the innovative developments within the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU).

Supportive Environment

Our Acute Physicians benefit from robust support structures including the Physician of the Day and Physician of the Week models, alongside Specialist Nurses in the MAU and assistance from Emergency Department colleagues.

Flexible Rota Participation

The successful candidates will be part of a flexible acute rota, contributing to the Physician of the Week/Day schedules as well as weekend on-call duties. We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals focused on service development.

Full-Time Commitment

This is a full-time position on a 10 PA basis, with options for those preferring part-time roles. Proposals for additional SPA time are encouraged, particularly from candidates with ideas focused on service improvement and quality assurance.
