Result of Service

The consultant will support the ECLAC team and the Escazú Agreement Secretariat in the implementation of the project on the Regional Action Plan on Human Rights Defenders in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to the following activities: - Draft preliminary agenda notes, minutes and supporting documentation of the ad hoc working group on human rights defenders in environmental matters; - Prepare draft documents for the implementation of the Regional Action Plan on Human Rights Defenders; - Research and update relevant legislation and policies in the Observatory on Principle 10 as the clearinghouse of the Escazú Agreement; - Support the monitoring and reporting keeping track of the implementation of the Regional Action Plan on Human Rigts Defenders; - Support the development of resources and materials to raise awareness and build capacities on article 9 of the Escazú Agreement and the Regional Action Plan.
