Responsibilities
- Lead the provisioning and maintenance of MongoDB instances to ensure robust performance across different environments
- Oversee the monitoring and adjustment of database configurations to optimize performance and response times
- Develop and enforce robust database security protocols to safeguard data against unauthorized access
- Manage regular database backups to ensure data integrity and support effective recovery strategies
- Coordinate and lead data migration projects in line with organizational timelines and specifications
- Provide expert resolution for database issues and maintain system continuity during failures
- Rapidly respond to system outages to reduce downtime and lead the support team in these efforts
- Liaise with development teams to optimize queries, enhance data indexing, and improve overall database performance
- Analyze database operations and lead initiatives to enhance database efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain and update comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes
- 5+ years of experience in managing MongoDB database operations, with specific proficiency in MongoDB Atlas
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Demonstrated capability to deploy and manage MongoDB Atlas across varied environments
- Expertise in holistic database management encompassing maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Comprehensive understanding of data security, backup, recovery, and integrity protocols
- Proven track record in planning and executing complex data migrations and managing database recovery operations
- Certification in MongoDB Database Administration
- Familiarity with integrated cloud services including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
