The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Lead Medical Secretary & Theatre Scheduler to join our team within Cardiology at University Hospital Hairmyres.
The Lead Medical Secretary & Theatre Scheduler supervises an administrative team of secretaries and administrative clerks to provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently.
You will ensure the work of the administrative team is carried out in accordance with NHS Lanarkshire's standard operating procedures.
You will take primary responsibility for organising theatre schedules for your speciality (or specialities) to make optimum use of the available capacity, with all work being carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (including waiting time guarantees for patients).
