Job Responsibilities

• Design backend services for commerce, including payment, loyalty, and promotions.
• Build REST APIs and microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Enable AI-driven checkout flows with necessary validations and guardrails.
• Implement scalable service patterns for performance needs.
• Ensure compliance and reliability standards.
• Develop frontend components using ReactJS.
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows with Anthropic Claude Code.
• Coordinate technical decisions across nearshore collaborations.
• Work within US Pacific Time until at least 4pm PST.

Requirements

• 5+ years in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Anthropic Claude Code in production.
• 5+ years in building REST APIs and microservices.
• Lead-level experience in guiding technical decisions.
• Experience in commerce domain systems.
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• Ability to work with US Pacific Time.
• Experience in developing front-end with ReactJS.
• Exposure to AI-assisted workflows and backend integrations.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).

Nice to Have

• CCA-F certification.
• Experience with Apigee.
• JavaScript backend experience.
