Lead Data Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the data platform, including system architecture, data pipelines, and data products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration solutions.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of the data platform, including data validation, testing, and documentation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven projects.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Software Engineering, showcasing your proficiency in developing and implementing data solutions.
  • At least 1 year of experience with leading and mentoring a team of data engineers.
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark, Databricks and other relevant Data tools and technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of Cloud (AWS and Azure) environments and their services.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, including database design and optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information.
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Nice to have

  • Experience in developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
