About the Role

As the Lead Data Engineer, you will spearhead the development of an innovative AI-powered platform that analyzes and ranks photos for personalized product suggestions. This position integrates semantic image understanding, aesthetic evaluation, and user personalization into a cohesive recommendation system.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems using CNN-based models and vision architectures to analyze, score, and tag photos.
• Construct models for facial recognition and expression analysis, and categorize images into various contexts.
• Create detection models to extract metadata and evaluate images for aesthetic appeal.
• Design scalable pipelines for processing large image datasets and integrate outputs into applications.
• Lead A/B testing frameworks and maintain comprehensive documentation of the ML model stack.
• Collaborate with teams to operationalize models for production use.
• Communicate with stakeholders while championing a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in software engineering or AI/ML roles, with at least one year in a leadership position.
• Expertise in computer vision, recommendation systems, and deep learning.
• Proficient in Python and experienced in deploying models at scale.
• Strong understanding of the machine learning lifecycle and excellent English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
