The Opportunity

Join 9fin’s team of financial journalists as a reporter focused on reporting in Latin America. You'll be expected to build your own source base and deliver impactful insights with support and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Source-building with key players in the credit markets
• Writing stories and investigative pieces covering markets
• Collaborating with team members to validate information
• Attending conferences and briefings to maintain source relationships
• Receiving training in interviewing, news writing, and financial markets

About You

If you're a reporter in distressed/restructuring or leveraged finance and possess the following attributes, we want to hear from you:

• Proven interest in journalism with some experience
• Desire to join a rapidly-growing platform attracting high-quality readership
• Interest in finance and understanding key terminology
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy
• Desire to build sourcing relationships across finance
• Fluent English writing skills to make technical topics accessible
• Aspiring to carve out a coverage area as a financial journalist
