Overview

Responsibilities

The Laboratory Supervisor plays a crucial role by providing technical leadership within the department. Key responsibilities include:

• Test development and quality control.
• Coordination of workflows and training for department staff.
• Maintaining standards set by accrediting bodies such as CAP and CLSI.

Essential Functions

• Perform competency evaluations for all department staff.
• Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
• Supervise the distribution of workload and maintain an adequate staffing schedule.

Shift Requirements

Shift length is 8 hours, with a total of 5 shifts per week.

Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• A Bachelor’s degree fulfilling CLIA requirements.
• Four years of hospital laboratory experience.
