The Federico Santa María Technical University is seeking a POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER FOR AN ANILLO PROJECT in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The role involves leading high-level scientific research to develop and validate technologies for sustainable maritime transport.

Main Functions

• Develop mathematical and predictive models for multi-energy ship systems.
• Lead experimental validation phases using advanced simulation platforms.
• Design cyber-resilient control schemes and power conversion interfaces.
• Publish scientific articles and present at international conferences.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM fields, with specialization in Power Electronics, Model Predictive Control, Shipboard Microgrids, or Hydrogen-based Energy Storage Systems.

Technical Competencies

Candidates should possess expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, Python or C++, power laboratory equipment, and have a thorough understanding of maritime and electrical standards.

Job Conditions
