Internal Communication Specialist
The Specialist - Internal Communications plays a key role in shaping and delivering internal communication strategies that drive employee engagement, support cultural alignment, and reinforce the company’s strategic objectives within the LatAm region, with a particular focus on the Central, Andean and South (CAS) markets: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Paraguay. This role is responsible for developing and managing a variety of communication initiatives—including employee portal content, newsletter and digests, internal campaigns, and employee events—ensuring clear, consistent, and timely messaging across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, develop and maintain communication plans and editorial calendars to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery.
- Create, edit, and publish internal communication materials, including newsletters, employee research summaries, manuals, intranet content, and company-wide updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify communication needs and deliver effective messaging that keeps employees informed and engaged.
- Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with company policies, tone, and strategic objectives.
- Plan and coordinate internal events such as town halls, celebrations, lectures, and all-hands meetings, ensuring alignment with annual goals and company culture.
- Serve as the communications lead for assigned departments or initiatives, developing concepts, reviewing materials, and coordinating execution.
- Propose and implement innovative communication strategies and tools to enhance employee experience and workplace culture.
- Act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, crafting communication narratives that support long-term business objectives.
- Design and develop presentations, slideshows, and multimedia content (audio/video) for internal use.
- Prepare the visual identity of internal campaigns, coordinating with agencies and internal teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Support content development for the company intranet (Employee Portal), ensuring information is current, relevant, and engaging.
- Coordinate with corporate and regional communication teams to ensure consistency in messaging, timelines, and best practices.
- Translate, localize, and adapt corporate communications to ensure alignment with local teams and cultural context.
- Manage external vendors and suppliers as needed to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of communication projects.
- Manage internal communications metrics and communications BI.
- Support of local Country Leads internal communications agendas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or similar.
- Postgraduate specialization in Communications is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the communications field.
- Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment is preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, with strong reading and writing skills.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
- A natural storyteller who enjoys crafting compelling messages.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities, with a genuine commitment to exceptional internal service.
- Tech savvy and curious, comfortable adopting new tools; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with web content management systems and social intranet platforms.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools and an eye for visual communications.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Detail driven, thoughtful planner, and consistent follow through.
- Confident working with employees at every level, including senior leadership.
- Able to multitask in a fast paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Collaborative and solutions oriented, able to work across functional teams—including senior leaders—to advance communication initiatives.
- Self motivated and proactive, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
