Duties and Responsibilities
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, a United Nations regional Commission, aims to foster economic and social development in the region since its foundation in 1948.
The internship involves supporting the Digital Transformation Unit with:
- Development and execution of communication strategies.
- Organizing events and meetings.
- Drafting communication materials.
- Preparing presentations for various audiences.
- Research assistance on pertinent topics.
- Design and layout of publications.
Qualifications/Special Skills
- Enrolled or completed a university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent).
- Enrolled or completed a Master's or Ph.D. degree.
- Basic knowledge or interest in economics of science, technology, and innovation.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint.
- Strong drafting skills.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of additional UN languages is advantageous.
Additional Information
The internship offers hands-on experience in communications, event management, and research within an international organization.
