Duties and Responsibilities

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, a United Nations regional Commission, aims to foster economic and social development in the region since its foundation in 1948.

The internship involves supporting the Digital Transformation Unit with:

• Development and execution of communication strategies.
• Organizing events and meetings.
• Drafting communication materials.
• Preparing presentations for various audiences.
• Research assistance on pertinent topics.
• Design and layout of publications.

Qualifications/Special Skills

• Enrolled or completed a university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent).
• Enrolled or completed a Master's or Ph.D. degree.
• Basic knowledge or interest in economics of science, technology, and innovation.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint.
• Strong drafting skills.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of additional UN languages is advantageous.

Additional Information

The internship offers hands-on experience in communications, event management, and research within an international organization.
