As Application Engineer you will play a key role for Successful project completion and/or commercialization, achievement of key technical milestones, increased customer satisfaction via technical troubleshooting or support for growth/maintenance sales in the division of Personal Safety for Chile. In this role you will be able to direct influence on business results and assumes leadership role for technical activities. High impact regulatory and standard development activities and may be recognized as a consultant or opinion leader in the industry.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Any engineering Carrer is valid)
• Occupational Health and Safety experience (7 years)
• Ideal to have experience in regulatory and standards development.
• Advance English
• This position is intended to provide and receive technical training to internal /external customers including industry experts
• Virtual interactions tools
• Field trip – 50%-70% time

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Personal Protective Equipment knowledge mainly in respiratory, hearing and fall protection. National and international regulatory framework.
• It is ideal to have experience in occupational health risk management and training skills.
• Ideal to know about PPE selection criteria and its technologies.

Work location: This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at Antofagasta.
